Why do I need a strut tower brace?
With Subaru’s MacPherson strut design; the vehicles entire vertical suspension load is transmitted to the top of the vehicle’s strut tower.For this reason there is inherent flex within the strut towers relative to the vehicle body.
If left un-braced your car will suffer from “dynamic-alignment changes”. During performance driving there is enough flex to alter what should be static camber, toe and caster settings. This change can make steering response and body roll more pronounced and unpredictable.
The PERRIN Performance strut tower brace solves the problem. During cornering the PERRIN strut brace transfers the load of each strut tower via tension and compression of the strut bar, to the opposing strut tower, reducing flex by sharing the load and tying the strut towers together.
The improved chassis rigidity enhances steering precision under high load conditions and reduces under steer. Tire wear and metal fatigue in the strut tower area can be reduced.
Utilizing heat-treated cast aluminum feet and mandrel bent, thin wall4130 Cro-moly tubing the PERRIN bar is strong while remaining lightweight.
A red crinkle powder coating accents the bar while aluminum logo plates compliment the feet. The PERRIN bar is a great Subaru specific accent for your engine bay.

As your turbo compresses air, creating boost and power it also creates heat. Heated air is less dense, lacking oxygen to make higher horsepower. Hot air also increases detonation which forces your ECU to retard timing. Front mount intercoolers can reduce reduce the intake air charge temperatures by hundreds of degrees. The PERRIN front mount intercooler with it’s large core, cast endtanks, high velocity tubing and proper mounting supports, is simply the best choice for your car. PERRIN intercoolers support more than 1000 horse power have less than 1/4 psi drop across the core at 20 psi, improving throttle response and putting full boost to the combustion chamber!
The most important part of any intercooler system is the core. The core cools the charge air on the way to the engine. The factory Subaru tube and fin intercooler was designed to be easy to manufacture, but is not good for performance.
We feel the optimum core design is the 3/8” bar and plate style that gives has a 3/8” charge air and ambient air path, instead of the common 1/4” size. The PERRIN bar and plate core design is much more durable than tube and fin with the ability to withstand rocks and other debris, which is important when mounted on the front of a car.
The PERRIN intercooler core is 28” long x 9.25” tall x 3.5” deep with a volume of 906.5 cu-in. Giving the PERRIN intercooler the best overall design for cooling and pressure drop, and it fills the opening of the WRX/STI bumper perfectly!
The PERRIN Performance designed endtanks control the near perfect dispersal of hot air across the intercooler core. With no 90 degree corners and a smoother, gradual taper from top to bottom. Each endtank has an innovative mounting bracket built in that solidly mounts the intercooler to the bumper beam.

Used for years in Aerospace and medical equipment, silicone is now seeing a resurgence as a durable and superior material in performance motorsports. Silicone technology allows us to design a turbo inlet hose that is better in all aspects than the OEM part and increases your engines horsepower.
The PERRIN inlet hose is perfectly smooth on the inside and has a significantly larger internal diameter than the OEM part. The increased air flow by removing the pleats found in the OEM hose makes more horsepower, decreases turbo spool time, and improves acceleration.
The PERRIN inlet hose is reinforced with a stainless steel support wire that is embedded within the silicone layers. The support adds rigidity to the hose and prevents collapse when used with restrictive filter elements and large turbo applications running extreme amounts of boost.
The PERRIN inlet hose has a machined aluminum insert which is bonded into the layers of silicone, giving you a solid blow off valve hose connection and makes installation go even easier.
